I pulled out some of my own study notes and found my copy of the Humanist Manifesto as well as some 'warnings' about humanism in our school system. In the sermon, while I review some of those humanistic teachings, we all should recognize that not only have those humanistic beliefs infiltrated the schools as well as the country, we also see that they are in our churches now. In fact, they are even in our KJB churches - in even more real fact, they are in those Paul following churches and assemblies, as well Are they in your family?

With Humanism being considered an approved religion by the IRS, this should be an eye-opener for those who are falling for the ways of the goodness of man, thinking that they are being 'good' Christians, only to find out they are following another religion!

A simple close read. By paying attention to the doctrine and comparing with what Paul teaches, we must observe that I John is in the Bible FOR us, but certainly is not TO us. One can get a fantastically detailed account of the Tribulation that isn't found in Revelation!

Especially learn about 1 John 4:1-3 - Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God. Compare that to Acts 2:17 and see how that verse is incorrectly preached TO Christians today.
We do the whole book of I John in one simple read 'with comments' of course.
Are 'Honour Killings' new in America? No - Christians have been doing it to each other for years. When someone makes some changes in their lives to please God, then the 'christians' around them are shamed. Instead of rejoicing with them that rejoice they do what they can to kill you spiritually.

There are two kinds of Honour Killings among Christians:

Those that find a Christian that has tripped up and do a good job of killing them more

Those that are envious of those who ARE succeeding in changing their walk (modesty, leadership as a man, etc.) and so they do what they can to tear them down. That includes wives towards husbands and visa versa; fathers towards their growing children, etc.

It is a shame - but it exists more than most realize, especially those 'honour killers'!
Paul finishes up his words to the Corinthian Church. Remember, this is a carnal fleshy bunch of people - like our churches today... even ye ole' KJB churches! What do we see in these chapters?

Paul is the man in 12:1-5; the thorn in his flesh is ___; we can have that same thorn today; how important God's grace is to us personally; Paul cared for his people more than we can imagine - read how much; how to train up your children so they don't rebel against God.

In chapter 13, we see Paul 'not sparing' this time because it seems that ever after 2 visits, (a Paul sermon today) they aren't getting their lives fixed up yet. And finally, how does this chapter help put the Lord's Summer issue to rest? hint - see verse 14!

Paul begins his departure - he wants to make sure he is not mis-read or is ever considered to 'be in the flesh' with his preaching and helping people. He addresses in detail the modern Christian minister today as a minister of Satan - no wonder these guys today don't like the KJB.

Paul has the authority from God as today the King James Bible carries on that authority from Paul!
These two chapters, along with I Corinthians 16, will tell you all you need to know about 'giving' today. You can even see where today's preachers preaching for filthy lucre as hirelings actually get their verses - but you can also see how they twist them to pull in more money. Then, read the two verses that seem to be ignored by virtually all preachers / evangelists, etc. today.

Giving is not to be a hard 'doctrine' nor is it supposed to 'hurt' anyone. Proper giving is truly an act of grace, just as Paul says.

There is great understanding within this chapter that shows us the identical application from our King James Bible today.

We see in chapter 6 that Paul expresses his concern towards those carnal christians as to whether or not they are saved. Could that be an issue for more than we may realize these days?

Chapter 7 expresses Paul's confidence towards his people 'obeying' what he teaches. Would Paul have that same confidence in us today? I do not believe so - especially in us fathers, as Paul treats his people like his children.

Fathers would be wise to look to Paul as their teacher as to how to be a father - from what I have seen, I see few fathers even willing to learn from Paul! I can't wait until the next Fathers Day - I have just the right message for those fathers who still have children around the house. For those of us who are too old - well... anyone interested in some experiential advice? Turn to Paul!

According to Paul and King James 1611 Bible
II Corinthians Six and Seven

This chapter is full of gems! Do we really want to follow Paul's teachings, or do we just 'pretend' to be following his teachings in our daily walk? We ought to be burdened to be clothed - but even Christians are not burdened to be clothed today let alone 'clothed' for their judgment seat.

Christ gives us his righteousness - his clothes, as such, but why is there such a willingness and desire to be unclothed today among Christians? Is there a difference in clothes in the Tribulation when compared to the church age today? Are we completely accepted by Christ today? Are we to 'fear' the judgment seat? How can we 'answer' those that glory in appearance and not in the heart? What do you know about the ministry of reconciliation?

How important is forgiveness? - Paul's own personal concerns about 'hard' preaching - No Titus in your life - Triumph in Christ - corrupting the word of God.
This is yet another interesting chapter. This time around with Corinthians has become a very interesting series for me to preach - I hope it has been the same for you.
Bonus subjects mini-sermons word studies: acknowledge - what should you acknowledge and envy towards us and from us towards others.
