Decrease, But Emphasize Your Increase More!

Wednesday Evening

I open up with a few comments about the brethren; Do we or do we not have no company with them if need be?

For the rest of the evening we look at the Gospel verse that says He must increase, but I must decrease.
How does Paul’s gospel from the Risen Saviour look at that particular gospel teaching?
What can we increase in?

Does Paul want to us ‘stay on the cross’ when he says, For I determined not to know anything among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified? So, must we continue to ‘hang’ on the cross or can we live the risen life with him? Why do so many baptist preach on the cross – meaning the gospels – when Paul is talking about the risen Saviour as he mentions being crucified with him?

I hope this will be very interesting to many; I doubt many have heard it put this way in a sermon. Grab your King James Bible and let’s get more religion out of your life!
