When folks hear about Paul's teachings, one of the first things they do if they are excited about what they heard is: "I'll go talk to my pastor!" or... "Come on over and tell me more - and I will have my pastor there, too."
What has happened today that we need to go to our 'pope/pastor' to tell us how to think and what decisions to make, etc.? Must be from years of the pastor scaring and demanding Hebrews 13:7,17 to his blind and dumb congregation. What's the matter folks, can't you read your Bible for yourself? YES, YOU CAN! You don't need Tertullus in your life.
See here in Acts 24 an example of how pastors handle Paul! Tertullus accuses Paul of 4 things and then lies - exactly what pastors and your friends who hate Paul do today!

The sound was recorded a bit too high - you will hear a few distortion sounds... my apologies.

Round Four Goes to Paul Only!
Titus 1:9-16

My apologies about the sound and video... I hope to have it all corrected when my new cables arrive???

Tonight, he tells us to watch Judge Judy or Judge Joe Brown to show the meaning of Matthew 5:25.

Paul uses similar language to Matthew 5:29-30? Is he serious? Again, we see their manner of saying folks that don't walk clean is proof that they weren't even saved in the first place.

Does he miss the importance of taking an oath today if he follows his Gospels as he tries to explain 5:39?

What about resisting evil today compared to the Gospel days?

He says to see his comments on 5:44,45; I say to "See my response!"

We finish by taking on a few of his 'extra' comments about a few various subjects.

We look at the verses he can NOT explain - and for obvious reason!

He uses Greek to prove the KJB! In other words, his final authority is NOT the KJB. I wonder which Greek he is following? I wonder if he thinks the originals are available, too?

He finishes the evening for us by showing his circular, pointless reasoning as he tries to reason with us about Matthew 5:1-12 not being applicable to us today. He will never see it, but he actually proves my point about Paul ONLY in his reasoning. Funny!

PS - During the gainsayers series, there will be no notes other than what is on this page. I doubt that any gainsayers would listen to the audio so they would only scan the notes and disagree. This way, if they really want to hear my thoughts and answers, etc. they will have to listen to the actual preaching / teaching and hear all that needs to be said.

Sunday Morning

Round Three Goes to Paul Only!
Titus 1:9-16

This morning, we continue with our gainsayers attempt to make the Beatitudes apply to us today. My apologies about the sound and video... I hope to have it all corrected when my new cables arrive???

Remember - these are just very simplified notes - so the gainsayer will have to listen to the sermon, not just read a few notes... yet I hope it shows you folks what to look for - to create an interest in how doctrine and exhortation is needed for the gainsayers.

He says Matthew 5:20 is the heart and soul of the sermon on the mount? We show doctrinal reasons why that can not be so.

He then talks about 'the new nature' we receive that makes us want to please God, etc. First of all, the word is not 'nature' - again we see the lack of seriousness when it comes to the very word God uses... as well as missing the key point that the Risen Saviour has for us concerning this 'desire' we are to have.

He then says if we don't have that desire, then we are not saved. That is the common answer for anytime somebody 'else' doesn't walk the Christian walk according to the gospels.

We take on the arrogancy of today's 'modern' Bible believing Christian when it comes to pleasing God, yet they totally reject Paul's manner of life that pleases God. I suppose that God would tell them to ignore Paul's writings - or try to mix them with directions spoken to the Jews BEFORE Jesus died and rose again, etc.

He also tries to convince us again that I John 2:18 and II Peter 3:3-4 is the Achilles heel of the premise that Hebrews - Jude is to the Tribulation saints. Amazing - he keeps on using these two verses falsely as well as ignoring the many many verses that show otherwise!

This guy is nothing but a Catholic following Peter, the apostle to the circumcision, while taking on the "Holy Baptist" clothes.

We finish with a doctrinal 'fixing' of what he says about Matthew 6:1-4. He states we should have a good inward religion - but I say, "How about NO religion?"

We see the crux of why the Great Commission Gospel preachers preach physical blessings for today - if they did right, then God would 'reward them openly.'

We finish by looking at the Lord's Prayer, as it is called today. If that doesn't prove to our gainsayer that we are not to follow the Gospels for application today, then I suppose he will continue his vain repetition of a prayer - instead of praying without ceasing as Paul preaches and teaches!

Bonus: Welfare Christians just sit and wait for God to bless them - or to drink the sweat of other Christians who continue to help them along but not giving them strength, etc. as was Sodom's problem according to Ezekiel 16:49.

PS - During the gainsayers series, there will be no notes other than what is on this page. I doubt that any gainsayers would listen to the audio so they would only scan the notes and disagree. Gospel of John 17:9

Note from Pastor Mike:
Jesus didn't pray for the world? Does that mean that God doesn't love everyone like all the modern Christians think?

Is God's judgment really God's hatred towards the lost?

Jesus prayed for his own, so how did Paul pray for his own?

Again, what does Paul tell us to do concerning those that are against the teachings of the Risen Christ? (PS - there may be some tiny skips in the sound/video - if you see/hear any, first, my apologies, then please let me know. We are having computer recording challenges - still trying to find a solution)

Rightly Dividing Christmas IV

Note from Pastor Mike:
Let's look at the original "Hark! The Herald Angels Sing" and do a Bible study of each verse to see if this is something that we should be singing. We can put truths into our own words, as did Wesley here, but we also must make sure what we are singing is still truthful.

For those of you that are new to 'meter' and syllable writing of the old hymns, you may find this interesting. You can see how they put the emphasis on words, not music and how we put the emphasis on music and not words today.

Also, this is the only time in history, past, present or future that you will hear me sing 'solo' as we do some singing for example in this sermon. My apologies. :-) Following along with the notes is important to understand what we are doing in the sermon, too.

PS - we are having sound and video issues again, so the recording is from my pocket digital - thus the quality of sound not what it should be.
