Despise and Destroy the Magnificence of Today's Pastors
Part III

For though ye have ten thousand instructers in Christ, yet have ye not many fathers...
We begin the detailed look into Scriptures (as the final authority, etc.) to see what the Risen Saviour says about 'modern' pastors (including the Bible preachers, etc.) during Paul's Dispensation of Grace. It isn't pretty at all.

We don't even get beyond the first 'description.' We see how we have plenty of instructors but no pastors who care like a father. Before any pastors think they do care about their congregation like a father, I suggest they see what the Risen Saviour says about fathering.

Also, if a father could get the handle on these verses as a father, things might just turn out differently than today's results from what they currently believe and are taught - as it would for the pastors congregation.

I do believe this is a fantastic set of verses for fathers as well as pastors. Are there any fathers and pastors who will take heed to these three 'things' for what it 'really' means to be a father and / or a pastor.

How about this bonus thought within this sermon: We are sons of Paul! That ought to stir a few anti-Paul folks!

It isn't pretty!

Acts 19 tells us to despise and destroy the magnificence of religion - and the leaders of religion are, of course, the pastors; so, let's study today's "beloved" pastors and see why they can be despised and their magnificence destroyed!

As we spend a lot of time and & effort to help folks try to see the importance of following Paul ONLY, let's spend some time on ourselves.

As we seek to live a life that pleases the risen Saviour through Paul's writings only, we encounter challenge after challenge - obstacle after obstacle - crash after crash - struggle with struggling - etc. Let's take a closer look at those challenges. I receive many emails from folks who are just learning about Paul, etc. and are encountering challenges in their daily life that many of us have already experienced. Welcome to following the Risen Saviour! Maybe we can help them as well as ourselves.

Let's look at these various challenges while always reminding ourselves of II Corinthians 4:8-12 and II Timothy 3:12. Let's see how the Scriptures can help us deal with these daily challenges we experience so that we don't falter and go back to the way things were - just so we 'think' we can have "friends, family and fun" again.

Titus 1:9-16 This morning, we continue with our gainsayers attempt to make the Beatitudes apply to us today. My apologies about the sound and video... I hope to have it all corrected when my new cables arrive??? Remember - these are just very simplified notes - so the gainsayer will have to listen to the sermon, not just read a few notes... yet I hope it shows you folks what to look for - to create an interest in how doctrine and exhortation is needed for the gainsayers. He says Matthew 5:20 is the heart and soul of the sermon on the mount? We show doctrinal reasons why that can not be so. He then talks about 'the new nature' we receive that makes us want to please God, etc. First of all, the word is not 'nature' - again we see the lack of seriousness when it comes to the very word God uses... as well as missing the key point that the Risen Saviour has for us concerning this 'desire' we are to have. He then says if we don't have that desire, then we are not saved. That is the common answer for anytime somebody 'else' doesn't walk the Christian walk according to the gospels. We take on the arrogancy of today's 'modern' Bible believing Christian when it comes to pleasing God, yet they totally reject Paul's manner of life that pleases God. I suppose that God would tell them to ignore Paul's writings - or try to mix them with directions spoken to the Jews BEFORE Jesus died and rose again, etc. He also tries to convince us again that I John 2:18 and II Peter 3:3-4 is the Achilles heel of the premise that Hebrews - Jude is to the Tribulation saints. Amazing - he keeps on using these two verses falsely as well as ignoring the many many verses that show otherwise! This guy is nothing but a Catholic following Peter, the apostle to the circumcision, while taking on the "Holy Baptist" clothes. We finish with a doctrinal 'fixing' of what he says about Matthew 6:1-4. He states we should have a good inward religion - but I say, "How about NO religion?" We see the crux of why the Great Commission Gospel preachers preach physical blessings for today - if they did right, then God would 'reward them openly.' We finish by looking at the Lord's Prayer, as it is called today. If that doesn't prove to our gainsayer that we are not to follow the Gospels for application today, then I suppose he will continue his vain repetition of a prayer - instead of praying without ceasing as Paul preaches and teaches! Bonus: Welfare Christians just sit and wait for God to bless them - or to drink the sweat of other Christians who continue to help them along but not giving them strength, etc. as was Sodom's problem according to Ezekiel 16:49. Our gainsayer first challenges me on my not using the word 'application' thus I don't believe all scripture, etc. Then, he denies it himself, but by the time he was done, he then says he does believe it. This is a great example of lousy reasoning - and confusion - all in one paragraph!

As I study his 'comments' I am beginning to see that he has three main issues he is missing.
  1. He has no idea what the difference is between the kingdom of heaven (only mentioned in Matthew & never mentioned by Paul) & the kingdom of God (only what Paul taught!)
  2. He uses the same couple of verses to hang all his doctrine on to show the Hebrews to Jude is NOT Tribulational application
  3. His reasoning actually goes against the simple truth of the KJB, as rightly divided.
We look at the times that the Jews spent 'reasoning' with Jesus, etc. only to see that Jesus accuses them of 'perceive ye not yet, neither understand? have ye your heart yet hardened?

Then we look at the few times Paul spent reasoning with the Jews. When the Jews couldn't handle what Paul taught of the Risen Saviour, they would then reason together - and NEVER get it!

Then, we spent the rest of the evening comparing our gainsayers attempt at applying the Beatitudes to Christians today with what Paul says. We look at Matthew 5:9,10 and 18 tonight. The 'reasoning' really makes no sense while Paul's application is truly the way of God more perfectly!

The gainsayer's reasoning is almost silly it is so roundabout and senseless.

Very poor video quality as I had to use a webcam for the cam -and lately, the sound isn't the best, either - still working on those problems!

These will help us also as we try to tell folks about the KJB as well as any changes made in our own personal lives that folks would recognize as different that we used to do / be. Maybe some folks are turned away not because of "what" it is that we are trying to do as we personally try to change our lives to please God, but maybe it is the "manner" in which we go about it.
