Part III

For though ye have ten thousand instructers in Christ, yet have ye not many fathers...
We begin the detailed look into Scriptures (as the final authority, etc.) to see what the Risen Saviour says about 'modern' pastors (including the Bible preachers, etc.) during Paul's Dispensation of Grace. It isn't pretty at all.

We don't even get beyond the first 'description.' We see how we have plenty of instructors but no pastors who care like a father. Before any pastors think they do care about their congregation like a father, I suggest they see what the Risen Saviour says about fathering.

Also, if a father could get the handle on these verses as a father, things might just turn out differently than today's results from what they currently believe and are taught - as it would for the pastors congregation.

I do believe this is a fantastic set of verses for fathers as well as pastors. Are there any fathers and pastors who will take heed to these three 'things' for what it 'really' means to be a father and / or a pastor.

How about this bonus thought within this sermon: We are sons of Paul! That ought to stir a few anti-Paul folks!

As we seek to live a life that pleases the risen Saviour through Paul's writings only, we encounter challenge after challenge - obstacle after obstacle - crash after crash - struggle with struggling - etc. Let's take a closer look at those challenges. I receive many emails from folks who are just learning about Paul, etc. and are encountering challenges in their daily life that many of us have already experienced. Welcome to following the Risen Saviour! Maybe we can help them as well as ourselves.

Let's look at these various challenges while always reminding ourselves of II Corinthians 4:8-12 and II Timothy 3:12. Let's see how the Scriptures can help us deal with these daily challenges we experience so that we don't falter and go back to the way things were - just so we 'think' we can have "friends, family and fun" again.

Once again, we see another Old Testament source for the false gospel that is so prevalent today. It is amazing how the Scriptures are so mistakenly taught that produces such misunderstanding in today's Christianity. Add to the situation the modern bible versions and we see what is going on in the new church teachings - a false worship and a total false gospel. It is amazing how the Scriptures are so mistakenly taught that produces such misunderstanding in today's Christianity. With today's modern Christianity being so heavily based on 'worship,' is there any concern that this 'worship' could be considered a false worship - in reality preparing a worship of the soon coming anti-Christ, etc.?

As our churches today continue to design their programs to the Gospels and early Acts, this emphasis on worship has become a powerful segment of the local church scene. Yet, when compared with Scriptures, we see that this very worship is not received by the Lord.

Here is a response and study to what somebody copied and pasted and sent to one of our web family members as they tried to convince her that following Paul was not only wrong, but it is a perverse thing. It seems all they know what to do is copy and paste - they can't actually talk about what it is they are trying to say.

"Hey, you folks on Mars' hill - Listen up - Paul has something to say to you!"
But alas, I know they won't! So, we will take a look at the modern Christian living the life of Mars' hill. This morning, we look at the Scriptural descriptions of them in God's own words! We will then look at the results of being a modern Christian today.

We will ask ourselves, 'Why do these people appear to behave 'better' than most KJB people and why are they so much nicer, etc." Why do they make better friends than our own brethren? We will also look at what 'seems' so magnificent about them that even us Paul folks are going back to play with them, and in more and more cases, actually going so far as to yoke with them.

If we know we are to despise their religion and destroy the magnificence of it all, then why don't we? Are we actually jealous of them and their manner of life instead of Paul's? Why do we, as claiming to be Paul-following Christians, openly reject God's wisdom and words about these folks that are caught up in a false religion that 'seems' so good, but the Scriptures deplore?

We look at 'belief of the truth' for the past, present and future. Has it always been the same faith and the same belief, etc.? No, according to the Scriptures! There are differences!

I Corinthians Six & Seven

These are two tough chapters - not to understand but to include in our 'changed' life since we became a Christian. What is the scoop on divorce and remarriage? It isn't what most of the preachers preach today!!! Of course it isn't God's design, however... well, just turn to chapter 7 and listen closely! Is it ok to sue a 'brother or should we always turn the other cheek, etc.? What about the fear of not inheriting the kingdom of God if you do certain things as listed? What is the 'stuff' behind the verse that says 'all things are lawful...'? Have you ever read the whole context?

What about 'virgin' girls if they don't have a husband? What about a marriage where one is saved and one isn't - can you hang around and fix the spouse eventually? Can you stay in a bad church hoping you can be the 'fixer' to show them the Paul stuff? Lots of serious stuff in these two chapters!

P.S. These are not 'my teachings' - we just look very closely at exactly what the Scriptures say - word for word! You don't get that sort of sermon many places these days!
